The property has been proclaimed by the Tasmanian government, as a Private Nature Reserve, which is the highest conservation listing available.
We were able to achieve the privilege of such a listing as the property is home to the Unique Blind Velvet Worm and several other endangered native wildlife species, such as the Tasmanian Devil, Spotted Tail Quoll, Eastern Barred Bandicoot, White Goshawk and the Wedge Tail Eagle.
Guests are able to interact with several hand reared, Wallabies, Possums and Walter the Wombat. Walter is a cheeky juvenile with an attitude, so we don't encourage too much contact however most guests do get to meet our cheeky boy!
