Thanks boys, we had a wonderful time in your little bit of paradise. You've created something special here.
Just shows what can be done with inspiration, a lot of hard work, and to a love for all of the important things in life.
Thank you.

The cabin and setting and hosts made our anniversary extra special! Wish we could stayed longer just to go through the menu. Looking forward to the next opportunity to stay.

It is no pity that we can not express our feelings in good English! We are driving through Tasmania since three weeks, we lived through different stays. But here in Rainbow Retreat we found all what we're dreamed at home in Germany before we started to Tasmania. Peaceful nature, beautiful landscapes and wilderness, comfortable conditions to live and with Peter, a lovely and polite host with the ability to make the best pizza we have eaten! And Peter a man of his word! Walter!!! These three days we'll take with us in our hearts. Thank you!!!

For the first time my descriptive powers fail me. Dorothy Mc Kellar explained it perfectly when she said " and at night the wondrous beauty of the everlasting stars" Orion was particularly spectacular and the milky way cast a beautiful shawl across the dark velvet of the sky. Oh, and the accommodation was tops too. Thank-you Peter and Ian for your inspiration and achievements.

Thank-you boys for a wonderful stay, so happy! I will never forget your hospitality and the double Rainbow we all saw together. Look after my furry friends won't you? I have a feeling we will meet again. Travelled 10,000 miles to get here, well worth the trip just for the sticky date pudding…yum…yum!

Peaceful and Relaxing
Terrific place to spend a few days relaxing. So very quiet and the night stars were amazing to see. Feeding the wallabies that come hopping out of the bush in the evenings was a treat. The owners leave food in the cabin for you to do this. Access to the property is via a private road and you feel as though you are entering a special place as soon as you leave the tarred road. Very friendly owners who are very eco friendly. Not many places to eat in St Mary's, but the Purple Possum cafe (google for their website) was a nice find in such a small town. Many delicious home made items on the menu and great coffee.
